St. Mary School Dress Code

DRESS CODE 2009-2010

Philosophy

We at St. Mary School, promote a positive atmosphere that respects the dignity of each person, reduces competition, and directs attention to learning and growing in an environment that supports our Christian values.

Proper grooming is required at all times.  The purpose of the dress code is to have our students look neat and reduce competition and eliminate distractions.  The dress code is designed to discourage attempts to make fashion statements or keep up with constantly changing fashion.  We expect all students to be neat, clean, and appropriately dressed for their Christian learning environment.  All students are expected to observe the dress code.  The staff of St. Mary School relies on parents to be the first monitors of the student dress code.  If questions arise regarding the uniform, the administration provides the final determination.
